We found ourselves in the Hillyard neighborhood of Spokane and desperate for some good coffee. We landed at Derailer Coffee and were delighted to be treated to delicious coffee served in beautiful stoneware cups with artful presentation. The flavorful coffee was matched with exceptional service and a comfortable, modern atmosphere. This is the best place to have a coffee “experience”.

Great customer service and welcoming attitude. The sanitation of tables in between each user/customer is on point and I love that about them. I wasn’t a big fan of their sweets but it was okay for one time trying it. The coffee was good though! Since there are multiple businesses located at this same address and there is a bar next to this coffeeshop, it can get very loud at times. Specially one of the bar tenders is veeeeery loud so be prepared.

This is the best coffee shop east of town, without doubt. Brandon and Joel both really love coffee and it shows in the amazing classic drinks and creative ones they come up with. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing — not to mention there’s an awesome manual espresso machine!

Derailer is the best place to get coffee in Hillyard (maybe Spokane)! Not only are their drinks deliciously crafted, they are passionate about supporting the Hillyard community. Even their cups are handmade by a local potter. The atmosphere is gorgeous and it is the perfect meeting spot. They also have decaf espresso options if you want to avoid caffeine but still want a gorgeous latte. Please go if you haven't and return if you have!

Very calm and friendly atmosphere. The ambiance is perfect for slow mornings. My hot chocolate was not quite as sweet as I'd hoped. Almost curious if it was made with dark chocolate. The temperature was perfect though! I would be more likely to come back here if they had an energy drink Italian soda of some sort or more non-coffee options like a smoothie. They currently offer teas, coffee, and I saw "soda" on the menu. Not sure if that refers to a club soda, regular soda, or Italian soda. If there were other options I don't catch it.

Great atmosphere with beautifully created coffees and teas. Pure artistry and my chai latte tasted great! Space for large groups. Pastries were available. Parking is free and easy on the street.

Enjoyed a morning coffee with my daughter today. We were warmly greeted by Brandon and invited to look around the beautifully refurbished building at Derailer Coffee. If you want an excellent cup of coffee made with locally roasted beans, and by a person who obviously loves his craft, this is a place to definitely check out! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
